LISSA'S CHILI

2-4 tablespoons olive oil
1 lb ground turkey (or beef if you don't have turkey)
2 chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces (or beef)
1 large onion, diced
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 poblano peppers, seeded and chopped
5 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons cumin
1 cup beef broth
6 ounces beer
1 14.5 oz can diced tomato
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 can white beans (drained and rinsed)
1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)
1 chipotle pepper, diced (in adobo sauce)
shredded cheese: cheddar or pepper jack
Sour cream

Coat pan with olive oil and place over medium heat. Add beef and chicken and cook until browned, breaking up chunks as you go.

Add onion, garlic and poblano pepper and cook until they begin to soften.

Add spices and cook 3 more minutes.

Add broth and beer and cook for 3-5 minutes or until boiling again. Add tomatoes and sauce. Return to boil, cover and cook at low boil for 10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings.

Add beans and return to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes.

Serve with cheese and sour cream.
