GRANOLA BARS

Need a super easy snack to give you a boost throughout the day? This is really easy and you can make it with anything you like. The amounts of each item can be adjusted to your liking!

They come out soft and chewy and are way better than the kind that you buy because you can adjust the amount of the stuff you like. I hate it when I just get a half of an almond in an entire granola bar!

1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 cup raisins or craisins
1/2 cup dried fruit
1/4 cup chopped cocolate chips or m&m's
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk
honey

If you want it even easier, you can buy a bag of trail mix (nuts, raisins, m&m's) and dump that in with the oatmeal, butter and sweetened condensed milk.

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Place all dry ingredients in a bowl, add melted butter and enough sweetened condensed milk to make it all stick together. (You might not need the entire can.) Press mixture into greased 8X8 pan and drizzle the top with honey. Bake until edges begin to brown, about 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. If you want to make it like candy, drizzle melted white or milk chocolate on top..... or keep it healthy and eliminate the chocolate, top it with milk and have a great breakfast cereal!
